A woman in her 60s was killed by her partner in the early hours of the morning on May 24 in the neighborhood of Luyanó, in the municipality of Havana Diez de Octubre, as reported on the social network by the Cuban feminist platform YoSíTeCreo en Cuba.
“We are sorry for the murder of Tomasa, who, as far as we could go, could have had the last name of Vargas,” the note mentioned on Facebook.
The publication also referred to another attempted murder, the details of which were not revealed to avoid “stigma and discrimination” of the victim.
“Our condolences go out to Tomasa’s family and our best wishes for a speedy recovery for the victim of the attempted murder,” the platform concluded.
