They sold expired chickens and pigs that were unfit for consumption in Chibarongo

During the inspection, one hundred kilos of these products were found available for sale to the public at a location in the said municipality.

During an inspection carried out in Chibarongo, more than 100 kilos of chicken and pork unfit for human consumption were confiscated by the Seremi de Salud O’Higgins. The findings were made during checks carried out during national holidays.

As the inspectors discovered, the products were expired and were therefore confiscated, denatured and then destroyed to avoid any harm to health. A health summary was also initiated.

In this sense, the Seremi de Salud (S) Rodrigo Proharam Troncoso explained: “We have reiterated that it is important to protect people’s health, that is why we have intensified the inspections and we will be in this line from the different offices continue.” We have that. Consumption of these products is currently increasing in the region and we must guarantee that they are sold in excellent conditions.”
