Good news for WhatsApp users. The company is making the task of chat transfer easier. According to a report by Wabetainfo, the WhatsApp team is working on a new feature that will allow chat transfer between iOS and Android devices. This means that this feature will work for you if you are about to change your smartphone. Because at the moment WhatsApp does not have any feature to transfer chat between both platforms (Android and iOS).
How is the chat transfer at the moment
For those who bought a new phone and switched from Android to iOS or iOS to Android platform, the most difficult task for them is to transfer WhatsApp chat. In fact, these two are different platforms, which is why chat backups taken from Android phones do not work in iOS. And so it is with iOS. Even if someone has to transfer the chat, they have to resort to a third party app, which usually takes its toll. Also, the process is quite complicated.

WABetaInfo also shared some screenshots related to the new feature. It shows two caricatures. One of them seems to be an iPhone and the other is an Android device. The screenshot states that the WhatsApp version needs to be updated to transfer chat history. However, this feature seems to be part of the WhatsApp beta testflight program at the moment.

The report says it may take some time to get this feature right now, as many codes need to be rewritten to make it eligible for many devices. It will also link to a feature of WhatsApp that allows the desktop version to be used even when the phone is not available on the Internet. It is not certain how long the new feature will last.
