Goodbye arena mode, hello ranked mode. ‘Fortnite’ wants more players to actually play to compete, earn rewards and climb the new ranks with its new mode that is now available for both created and created.
The new 24.40 update that arrived on May 17 modifies how ‘Fortnite’ has been run until now and introduces significant changes we haven’t seen in a long time. Ranked Mode is available with and without builds and promises more balanced matches as the other players in the lobby are of the same or similar rank.
The ranks are divided into Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Elite, Ace, and Unreal. There will be three levels for each rank from Bronze to Diamond, while there will be only one level for Elite, Ace and Unreal. There will be a limit for builds with and without builds, so that the same player can be Bronze II with builds and Elite without builds.
How to rank up in fortnite
To climb the ranks, the system will take into account a combination between the finish and the position achieved at the end of the game. Players will also receive an Urgent Quest at the start of the game and completing several will unlock seasonal cosmetic rewards. In some of my games, the missions have been pretty straightforward, like dealing damage or getting kills with a certain type of weapon.
This season in which ranks begin to be activated will be known as “Zero Season” (Season Three Chapter Four) and for now all weapons and equipment available in public games will be available in Ranked Mode. ‘Fortnite’ doesn’t rule out making adjustments in the future.
Getting the range is very simple. Just login to the game, activate the ranked mode and play the game. The end of game interface has been changed so that players can quickly see their level progress. After the first game, the rank given in the following tab will be assigned:
Those who play with two more people will be at a significant disadvantage with the entry into force of ranked mode. As of May 17, all three modes of Battle Royale and Zero Construction have been deactivated. There’s no word from ‘Fortnite’ whether the trio will ever return.
Other adjustments that have been made to all modes are that the material limit has been reduced to 500, pickup rates have been increased, and players will only drop 50 of each material upon elimination.
Play as a team in the ranks
Ranked mode is available for Solo, Duo and Squad in Battle Royale. Available for doubles only for no construction. However, unranked public matches are still available for Solo, Duo, and Squads.
With regard to classification in group games, it is important to consider that in the qualifying mode a whole team will have the title of the best performing individual. If one player is an Ace in a Battle Royale squad and the rest are Silver, the matchup will be with the Ace ranked squad.
The arrangement may work to the disadvantage of low performers, but the system will cause the entire team to gain and lose an equal amount of progress. By the way, in the later stages of the game, the deletion will have a greater value.
Epic says that those who reach Unreal Rank will not be demoted for the rest of the season, regardless of their performance in future matches. The system will try to reward them for playing in ranked mode with the help of a public board that will show who are the best players in Unreal. The table will indicate the position and will be updated all the time so that those who rank best are encouraged to reach the top spots.
Regardless of whether it is with or without a team, with or without a team, those who play ranked mode will be able to receive the “Shine of Triumph” emote to show their rank, just as the emote earned Serves to show the crown.
