Despite being the best-selling vehicle in automotive history and currently the best-selling Toyota sedan in the United States market in Mexico, the Corolla is not the Japanese manufacturer’s most successful sedan. There, the world’s leading brand has another model in addition to the already mentioned iconic: Yaris.
This is the car that came to light in April 2023 due to cheating, and was recognized by Toyota, during crash tests that evaluate and qualify the safety capabilities of vehicles. But this article is not about that controversy. As we move further down the range, we will see below what interior configurations this Toyota offers.
The Yaris sedan 2023 is equipped with the same engine for all its variants. It’s a 1.5 inline four-cylinder with max power of 105 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and up to 104 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm, mated to a five-speed manual transmission or CVT, depending on the variant . With an interior capacity for five occupants, the 2023 Yaris sedan, in its base MT and base CVT Access versions, features manually adjustable seats with four positions, upholstered in cloth and six airbags. For infotainment, it comes equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems, audio controls on the steering wheel, four speakers, MP3/WMA/AAC player, USB input and Bluetooth connectivity. Reverse camera is one of the items available on these early Yaris.
The range continues with the S MT and S CVT versions, which add a 4.2-inch MID screen to the instrument panel in standard equipment, USB inputs for the rear row occupants and two more positions for the driver’s seat as standard .
The most complete 2023 Yaris sedan is the S CVT Hi. This includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery for the panels and seats, a seven-inch instrument panel and an enhancement of six speakers for its multimedia equipment.
