This Tata car has destroyed the sales of many of its own models, Safari, Nexon, Altroz, Tiago all failed before it

Tata Motors is the third largest car company in the country. Now the gap between it and Hyundai Motors is narrowing. Two Tata models have been making it to the top-10 for the past few months. This is attributed to Tata’s new cars like Altroz, Safari, Punch, Nexon along with EV models. Tata’s position in the Indian market has been strengthened on the basis of these cars. Especially the mini SUV Tata Punch is very popular among people. The company sold 1 lakh units within 11 months of its launch. The company launched Punch in October 2021. Tata Motors produced its 100,000th unit at its Pune plant. All in all Safari, Nexon, Altroz, Tiago, Tigo are fading in front of demand.

Tata punch engine
The Tata Punch has a 1.2 liter Revotron engine. Its engine generates a maximum power of 86 PS at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 3300 rpm. It has a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Customers will also get the option of a 5-speed AMT. The Tata Punch is capable of delivering a mileage of 18.97 kmpl with the manual transmission and 18.82 kmpl with the automatic.

Tata Punch comes with features like 7-inch touchscreen system, digital instrument cluster, auto AC, automatic headlights, connected car technology and cruise control. Tata Punch also consistently ranks among the top 10 best selling cars in India.

5 star safety rating
In terms of safety, the Tata Punch has a 5 star rating from Global NCAP. After Tata Nexon and Tata Altroz, Tata Punch has now received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. The Tata Punch received a 5-star rating for adult occupant protection (16,453) and a 4-star rating for child occupant protection (40,891) in Global NCAP.
