- Judge finds detention legal and sets preventive measure
The Special Unit for Crimes against Health of the South West Regional Prosecutor’s Office brought before the controlling judge two men arrested in the municipality of Jojutla for carrying drugs with them.
They are Delfino Rigo “N”, alias “Rigo”, 24, and Florentino “N”, alias “Tino”, 52, interned by elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) on 1 February.
That Wednesday night, members of the AIC, who were conducting events in the neighborhood of Nicolás Bravo, in the municipal capital of Jojutla, saw a car with two people inside on Leona Vicario street.
When the occupants of the car noticed the presence of the official vehicle, one of them stealthily tried to throw a plastic bag on the ground.
Agents became aware of this operation and approached a Nissan car, Tiada type, white, 2007 model, without license plate, confirming that the plastic bag contained weed with characteristics of marijuana.
That is why detectives asked the pair of men for a routine inspection, in which inside Tiada they found 10 estimated doses of marijuana, 24 possible doses of a drug known as “crystal” and three cell phones.
As a result, they arrested “Rigo”, an electromechanical business owner who lives in the Gran Alianza neighborhood in Galliana, Zacatepec; and “Tino”, a taxi driver by profession, lives in Tlatenchi, Jojutla.
At the combo hearing, the judge declared the men’s custody legally valid, while the social representative accused them of crimes against health, as well as obtaining the weekly periodical signature and a link to the process with a one-term precautionary measure. One month time to close the enquiry.
