Todd Haynes still wants to make the film Fever about Peggy Lee with star Michelle Williams

Todd Haynes will be interested in making the fever, the biopic about Peggy Lee which seems to have been abandoned despite the cooperation of Michelle Williams.
The actress, a year ago, confirmed that the project was not destined to be realized, not hiding her anger.

The prospect of filming Fever

Director Todd Haynes is working on May December, a film presented at the New York Film Festival.
However, the filmmaker recalls his experience with Fever, explaining: “When it wasn’t possible, when we thought we were going to shoot it and it was close to pre-production, it was difficult. This is another thing that hurts us all. We put a lot of time and effort into it. And then I have all these projects and I’m eager to transfer my energy and dedicate myself to them“.
However Haynes recalled: “The interest in the subject did not disappear. The fascination with the subject and his art has not gone away. And the desire to work with Michelle Williams again has not disappeared“.

Peggy Lee died in 2002 at the age of 81, after a long career as a singer and actress, despite earning an Oscar nomination in 1955 for her performance in Pete Kelly’s Blues.
Billie Eilish, who was supposed to participate as a producer, took part in an event designed to celebrate the artist’s life that took place in May and often introduced Peggy’s name to the people who influenced her love of music and its creativity.
