The NFL Draft is big business and one that now goes on all year long. Don’t believe us? Consider that less than 24 hours after our televisions and streaming devices were silenced after this year’s annual spectacle, we saw several fake drafts.
One of the most-followed NFL draft gurus is ESPN’s Todd McShahe, and he has already released his very own NFL first round mock draft for next season. And while Ohio State went to two players in the first round this year, he’s even more bullish on the Bucky players for next season on day one.
But he wonders how many can be selected in the first round and where can they go? Yes, it’s early and that could all change, but here’s what McShea thinks about the Ohio State players who will be eligible in April of next season in Kansas City.
No. 1 Overall Selection – Quarterback CJ Stroud (Houston Texans)

“Texans believe in quarterback Davis Mills, but if he really picks No. 1 next April, something very bad happened for Mills during his sophomore season. Stroud has a big hand, having scored 71.9. % Passes completed for 4,435 yards, 44 touchdowns and just six interceptions in 2021. The third-year sophomore only has 12 career starts, so all eyes will be on him this season.”

“Only the Dolphins had a worse pass block win rate than last season (48.8%), and I don’t think Pittsburgh did enough to fix the line. When it came to running the keys to the offense, new quarterback Kenny Pickett If he decides, the safety should be there. Johnson has 13 career starts (perfect on right guard) and only allowed one sack last season. He will move to a left tackle from outside this year.”
