The country’s Minister of Social Development, Victoria Tolosa Paz, highlighted today the investments made by the government in food and allocated to social organizations after a camp carried out by the Pictero Unit in the city of Buenos Aires.
“The ministry continues to maintain the level of social investment in the first quarter, despite the fact that collections have fallen due to the most significant drought in 100 years and a shortfall of $20 billion that we are going to have in the national treasury” , maintained Tolosa Paz.
The Minister considered that this investment has reached unprecedented levels in the history of Argentina with 1.9% of GDP and also highlighted the transfer of resources that aims to support vulnerable families.
“There are more than 4 million children who have a food card, an increase of 35%. (It) allows us to provide coverage in terms of food to all children aged 0 to 14 in Argentina and we Do the same with governors with school food service,” he said.

In consulting the mobilization of the Pequetera unit, Tolosa Paz said: “There are more than 3 million kilos of food per month that the Pequetera unit removes out of a total of 10 million kilos in all social organizations.”
