If you see Tom Holland and Zendaya kissing in the car again, then no, because the romance between two famous private stars is only for their eyes.
For the first time since paparazzi photographs captured Spider-Man’s actors during an intimate off-screen moment, Holland talks about their relationship and how they felt “stripped of our privacy.”
“One of the downsides to our fame is that privacy is no longer under our control, and the moment that you think happens between two people who love each other dearly is now a moment that is shared with the world.” The British star said in a cover story for GQ magazine “People of the Year” published Wednesday.
“I have always been adamant about keeping my personal life a secret, because I already share most of my life with the world,” he continued. “We kind of felt deprived of privacy. I don’t think the point is that I’m not ready. We just didn’t want it. “
Before he spoke too much about their romance, Holland stopped himself by adding that “this is not a conversation I can have without her.”
“You know, I respect her too much to say … This is not my story. This is our story, ”he said. “And we’ll talk about what it is when we’re ready to talk about it together.”
Zendaya, for her part, described the photographs that surfaced as “rather weird, strange, confusing and aggressive.”
“Equal Moods [we both share] it’s just when you really love someone and care about them, about certain things or things, you want to be your own, ”she told GQ. “I think loving someone is sacred and special, and something that you want to deal with, experience, experience and enjoy two people who love each other.”
It’s clear from both of their comments that love is indeed in the air after years of rumors that the co-stars were more than just friends. Since photos of their kisses have circulated on the Internet, they have been seen together on several occasions – whether at a July 4th party or at a mutual friend’s wedding in August.
The two finally became Instagram officials when Holland posted a cute behind-the-scenes shot of a couple very much like a couple back in September.
“My MJ, I have the happiest birthdays,” Holland wrote, referring to her character in the franchise, Michelle Jones. “Give me a call when you are xxx.”
Zendaya responded in kind, adding in the comments: “Calling now.”
The trailer for Holland and Zendaya’s third Spider-Man movie, No Way Home, was released on Tuesday. In the case of life imitating art and vice versa, the clip begins with the two trying to escape the horde of paparazzi before sharing the lip lock on screen.
