On the occasion of the Double or Nothing celebration this weekend, Tony Khan held his first press conference this afternoon. The president of All Elite Wrestling reported some current issues, such as the Sunday show or the new AEW deal with Warner Media Discovery with the arrival of AEW Collision.
All in all, Tony Khan raised this issue and, although he didn’t give many details, he confirmed that the AEW clash agreement is the same as Warner Media Discovery has with AEW Dynamite. That is, the agreement will end between 2023 and 2024 in the same way that it will happen with Aew Dynamite. In turn, Khan thanked David Zaslav for coming up with the idea of launching a new wrestling show on television.
“It’s pretty much the agreement, the duration is the same. I don’t want to go too far, but the duration is the same and this is in addition to what is already agreed. Everyone was very. enthusiastic about the success of AEW on TBS and TNT. They contacted us and gave us a great opportunity.”
“I think there’s a lot of talk about AEW because this show and the idea of programming more AEW reaches Mr. Zaslav, who is one of the most powerful and intelligent people in all of the media. He wants what we’re doing with AEW on TBS. and TNT, and it was literally his idea to have more Aew on TNT. I’m very grated for that. and also to bring Dynamite to another level. It’s a big challenge for us and we’re looking forward to getting started.”
