Toronto to open 8,000 more COVID vaccine appointments for Sunday, Monday – Toronto |

Toronto Public Health says there will be 8,000 more appointments to get a COVID-19 vaccine this Sunday and Monday.

The appointments will begin at 8 am on Friday and will take place on January 16 and 17 at five large-scale immunization clinics in the city.

The appointment can be made through the provincial portal.

The five city-run clinics include: Cloverdale Mall, Metro Toronto Convention Center, Scarborough Town Center, Woodbine Mall and Mitchell Field Community Center.

Anyone eligible can book in Toronto to receive their first, second or booster shot.

So far 49 percent of young children aged 5 to 11 have had at least one dose, Citi said, with 11 percent of children fully vaccinated. Of the population 12 and older, 89.8 percent have had at least one dose, about 87 percent have been fully vaccinated and 48 percent have received their boosters.
