Tourist bus saves dozens of students from falling into the gorge in Malangu

Another student, she continued, named Billy, suffered abrasions from being hit by broken glass. Meanwhile, dozens of students and other passengers are reported to have survived the incident. “The other passengers survived,” Siddiq said.

It is feared that the bus carrying the group of students collapsed as the bus driver was unable to control the steering wheel when he climbed over and turned. At that time the bus was not able to go up and went backwards.

“When you step on the gas, instead of going up, you go backwards. Incidentally, the situation is slippery in addition to the steep road because of the rain.”

As a result of not being able to climb, the bus eventually backtracked and rolled over a cliff near the residents’ gardens. He said the plan to evacuate the bus would be completed tomorrow with heavy equipment.
