New Delhi: Thirteen workers have died in a tragic accident in Maharashtra. According to the information received, all these dead persons are from Madhya Pradesh. These workers are called Came to Maharashtra to work on the highway.
According to sources, a truck loaded with iron bars overturned in Buldhana, Maharashtra on Friday afternoon. There were a total of 116 people in this truck, of which 113 died. However, three others were admitted to Jalna District Hospital in critical condition.
Regarding the accident on the Hindu Heart Emperor Balasaheb Samrudhi Highway, police issued a statement saying the truck weighed too much and its speed was too fast. So he turned uncontrollably. After the truck overturned, 8 people died on the spot after being crushed under the bars, and 5 died during treatment.
Eight of the dead were from Khargone and five from Madhya Pradesh. Khargone SP Shelendra Singh confirmed the incident. A team from Madhya Pradesh has been sent to Maharashtra, the SP said. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj tweeted condolences over the accident.
