Donald Trump claims to have got rid of his passport. He claims that the FBI “stole” him from his property.
Did the FBI ‘Stole’ Trump’s Passports?
Former President Donald Trump (76) claims that FBI agents “stole” his passports. This was when they raided his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida last week.
He writes on his social media platform Truth Social: “Wow! During the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago, they stole three of my passports (one of them expired) and several other things.” But Trump did not provide any evidence to support the statement.
Seizure for fear of absconding?
Instead, he shoots: “This is an attack on a political opponent on a scale we have never seen in our country. third World!”
Often the confiscation of a person’s passport means that the authorities consider them to be at risk of absconding. This is to prevent him from leaving the USA. However, whether this applies to the former president is unknown.
On August 8, FBI agents searched Trump’s residence at his Mar-a-Lago club. This is because of documents that the former president is said to have stolen after his term.
Documents released Friday show the Justice Department is investigating whether Trump broke several laws. During the raid, several confidential documents were found by the officials.

FBI found these documents
According to the FBI listing, agents at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate found a set of top secret/SCI documents that are top secret and can only be viewed at special government facilities. They should never have left government buildings.
Four sentences were classified as “top secret”, three as “secret” and the remaining three as “confidential”. The Washington Post reported that the FBI was also looking for classified documents about nuclear weapons.
According to reports, 20 boxes, folders containing photographs, a handwritten note and official documents were removed from Trump’s house. The FBI does not officially list passports. (The European Union)
