NEW ORLEANS (WNN) — Clayton Tulane passed for 288 yards and three touchdowns, including a score to lead Jeremy Singleton late in the third quarter as Houston trailed Tulane 40-22 on Thursday night.
Tune threw a first-quarter touchdown pass of 11 yards for Christian Trahan and a pair of 17 for Singleton for a 14-0 lead to the Cougars (5-1, 3-0 American Athletic Conference).
Scrapped back with Tulane (1-5, 0-2) Tyjae Spears 39 Yards Knitting Pulling Green Wave to within 17-15, for a touchdown late in the first half. Just after halftime, Michael Pratt worked a 29-yard scoring pass with Will Wallace as Tulane took a 22-17 lead.
Tune took the lead about seven minutes before leading a pair of Houston drives, which ended in a Da Williams field goal and his second TD pass to Singleton as the Cougars reestablished themselves 26–22. did.
