Twinkle Khanna shared a video on Father’s Day with her husband, actor Akshay Kumar and their daughter Nitara. Taking to Instagram, the actor-turned-writer posted a clip, in which the father-daughter duo indulged in an ‘annual ritual’ of picking fruits in their garden. As the video began, Akshay and Nitara were seen standing near a jamun (berry) tree as the actor pulled down the branches for Nitara to pluck the fruit. He was also seen helping Nitara by plucking berries hanging on a high branch. The brief clip ends with Nitara pouring fruits into a bowl, which appears to be Akshay standing near his garden.
Sharing the post, Twinkle wrote, ‘These two wait for the white jamun tree to bear fruit in our compound. It is an annual ritual where they follow the tree for several days and choose the right time. They have their own games, where they fall, jump and juggle in the garden, as I watch from the shore. ,
He said, “Mothers can do it all, but some things are left easy for their fathers. Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads and especially my Mr. K.” Responding to the post, Tisca Chopra wrote, “Oh…” Twinkle added music in the background instead of the audio.
Earlier on Sunday, Akshay was seen at Mumbai’s Marine Drive as he attended an event organized by Mumbai Police. The actor, known to start his day early, ran with the security personnel at around 7 am. Akshay was seen cycling while testing a police patrol vehicle. He was also seen running with a helmet in his hand.
Meanwhile, Akshay was last seen in Samrat Prithviraj opposite Manushi Chhillar. He will be seen in the upcoming film Raksha Bandhan opposite Bhumi Pednekar. Raksha Bandhan is directed by Aanand L Rai and produced by Zee Studios, Color Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films.
The film also stars Raj Singh, Sahajmin Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Saadia Khatib and Smriti Shrikant in pivotal roles. The comedy-drama is all set to release on August 11. Raksha Bandhan will be Akshay’s third release in 2022 after Bachchan Pandey and Samrat Prithviraj.
