Twitter has resumed its Blue Tick Verification process. This process was stopped for almost 3 years. Now soon you will see new verified accounts on Twitter. Twitter discontinued the blue tick verification process in November 2017.
Twitter has started Self-Service Application Portal for this. From here users can apply to get their account verified. According to the terms of Twitter, it is necessary for an account to be active to get a blue tick. In addition, the user should be a notable personality. Twitter has created 6 categories for account verification…
- Government (includes state and center.)
- Company, Brands and Non-profit Organization
- Media Channel and Journalist
- Entertainment industry faces
- People of sports and esports
- Activists, Organizers and other influential people
Apart from this, Twitter has been suggested to include some other categories of accounts in this list, this includes Scientists, Dharma Gurus and people associated with the education field. These categories can be included till the end of the year. At present, all such people can apply to the list of activists and other influential people.
With this, the verification of the users who are not capable of blue tick will be canceled. For example, blue ticks will be withdrawn from those who were previously part of the government and are not now.
