Two actors filming Netflix series The Chosen One killed in road accident in van, capsizes on way to airport

Two actors from the Netflix original series, titled The Chosen One, have been killed and six injured in a road accident in Mexico. For the time being the shooting has been stopped. As Deadline reports, Redrum, the company that was running filming, has suspended production of the Netflix series with no further information about its future. Netflix is ​​yet to comment on the accident that occurred when the victims were on their way to the local airport on June 16. The crew members were in a van when it crashed and overturned. The accident occurred on a desert road near Mulege on the Baja California Sur peninsula, while the crew was filming in nearby Santa Rosalia.

The victims were not initially identified. The Baja California Department of Culture later said that Raymundo Garduno Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar were the only ones who died. The condition of the injured artist is stable.

Chosen is a Brazilian thriller series first launched in 2019, based on a comic book series, American Jesus. A Netflix description for The Chosen One reads: “A 12-year-old boy learns that he is the returned Jesus Christ, destined to save mankind. It is based on the comic book series by Mark Miller and Peter Gross. Is.” According to Fox News, the episodic series is being taped by an independent production company and there is no information about how the incident affected its production.
