The Autonomous University of Aguascalientes advances in the implementation of identification, detection, prevention and channeling protocols in mental health for the students of this house of study, through the application of periodic screenings that identify depression, anxiety, lack of attention, emotional Detects distortion-like conditions. and violence, among other problems.
In this regard, the Rector of the UAA, Dr. Sandra Yesenia Pinzón Castro, held a meeting with the personnel of the Department of Psychology, from where the importance of keeping the application of tools constant (some also originated from Harvard University) was raised. and questionnaires, both on a semester basis for new students and for the rest of the university community. Through these tools, data on the emotional health of the student body can be obtained, as well as quick diagnosis can be made to establish the type of intervention or channeling that the student needs.
In addition – according to Dr. Kalina Isela Martínez Martínez, department researcher and H.Governing Board Chair – research is being strengthened by obtaining data for the generation of more mental health care campaigns and prevention activities in different centers, As well as human resource training.
