UAlbany men’s basketball ranked 7th in America East preseason poll

The UAlbany men’s basketball team finished seventh in the America East Conference preseason poll, which was released Thursday.

Stony Brook topped the 10-team roster and earned five votes for first place. # 2 Vermont scored four votes for first place, and # 3 New Hampshire also won first place.

The reigning league champion Hartford was to finish fourth and – in order – UMBC, UMass Lowell, UAlbany, NJIT, Maine and Binghamton followed in the poll.

The UAlbany season kicks off November 9 with a non-conference home game against Towson. The Danes finished 7-9 last season and are led by new head coach Dwayne Killings.
