The Ukrainian ambassador to Mexico questioned AMLO and his neutrality policy.
The ambassador of Ukraine in Mexico, Oksana Dramaretska, claimed to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador the presence of the Preobrazhensky Regiment in Mexico Russian Federation in the civil and military parade; Afterwards, voices from the opposition joined the accusation and even apologized on behalf of Mexico.

The Ukrainian ambassador questioned AMLO about the consequences of his policy of neutrality in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and reiterated that the ceremony commemorating the 213th anniversary of the beginning of Mexico’s independence had been “tainted” by the participation of a Russian regiment.

Lilly Téllez apologized to Ukraine and its President Volodymyr Zelensky for the invitation that the President of the Republic voluntarily extended to the armies of the countries with which Mexico has good diplomatic relations. And on behalf of Mexicans, he condemned the “murderous dictatorship” of Vladimir Putin.

“As Senator of the Republic, I apologize to the citizens of Ukraine and President Zelensky for López Obrador’s invitation to Russia to station its military in Mexico. We Mexicans disapprove of Putin’s murderous dictatorship and support Ukraine,” said Lilly Téllez via X.
