Union Women’s Hockey ends without winning streak at 16 – The Daily Gazette

HANNOVER, NH – The Union women’s hockey team’s 16-match winning streak has come to an end.

Goalkeeper Sophie Matsukas’ 39-saving effort helped Dutch women take a 2-0 lead and beat Dartmouth 2-1 in an ECAC hockey game at Thompson Arena on Saturday.

Union (1–9–0 ECACH, 3 points; 3–15–1 overall) went 0–15–1 in their last 16 games and lost their last 11. Dutch Women had not won since the start of the season with two victories. in RIT.

Grace Hetting gave the Dutch women a 1-0 lead in the second period at 4:15. Ashley Adams took a 2-0 lead in the third period in just four minutes.
Big Green got a power-play goal from Tiffany Hill in the middle of the third.
