United States visa hikes: Cost, Requirements and Process

  • Non-immigrant visa for temporary jobs (Category H, I, O, P, Q and R) will be increased from US$ 190 to US$ 205.
  • Visas for a trader, investor or treaty applicant in a specialty business (Category E) will increase from US$205 to US$315.

The most-used categories B1 and B2 in Argentina, which serve both tourism and business, will see an increase of just $25.

  • Complete Form DS-160.
  • With the requested data, create an account on the US Embassy page.
  • Indicate the confirmation number of the form.
  • Enter an address to receive the document.
  • Pay the cost of the visa.

  • Petition-Based Temporary Employee Interview Waiver (H, L, O, P, Q): 36 days.
  • Waiver Crew and Transit Interview (C, D, C1/D): 36 days.
  • Interview Exemption Visitors (B1/B2): 36 days.
  • Interviews with essential visitors (B1/B2): 308 days.
