Miami, Dec 14 Super Nintendo World, a Universal Studios Japan theme park, will open in the United States on February 17 at Universal Studios Hollywood (California), the organization reported on Wednesday.
The new park, in the San Fernando Valley in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, will feature the “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” ride, a technologically advanced attraction inspired by the popular Mario Kart video game series.
The new complex also offers themed dinners at the Toadstool Cafe and the possibility of shopping at the 1-UP Factory Store.
Visitors will be able to purchase a power-up band (interactive wearable wristband) to deepen their interactions throughout the area.
These state-of-the-art wristbands sync with Universal Studios Hollywood’s free downloadable app to enhance the guest experience.
The power-up band will invite guests to enjoy additional video game interactions with Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach.
Other attractions at the park, which will be included in a newly expanded area of Universal Studios Hollywood, include Mount Beanpole, which serves as the entrance to “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge”.
Bowser’s Castle, adorned with a large sculpture, is a structure that serves as the centerpiece of the theme park.
Interactive gameplay The attraction will allow guests to immerse themselves in a real-life game world, featuring blocks to punch, digital coins to collect, and a variety of interactive activities.
This would be possible thanks to the interactive telescope that uses augmented reality technology located inside the attraction.
