Lake Placid closes its doors after ten days of sports where the best student athletes in the world have come together for these University Games, an Olympics for young people that is becoming more and more relevant.
Final events on Saturday included the women’s curling final, which topped the podium for China; South Korea won the bronze medal and the United States finished third on the podium. One of the pending women’s finals was the biathlon, which awarded the gold medal to Czech Kristina Otkowska; The rest of the podium was French, with a silver medal for Pauline Machut and a bronze for Anna Blanc.
