The Upanishads are the oldest scriptures of Hinduism. The Upanishads are commonly known as Vedanta. It is said that scholars have considered the etymology of the word Upanishad as Upa + Ni + Shaad. That is, the knowledge that comes without any hindrance, which is precise and complete, and the knowledge that is true must be called Upanishads.
