Frankfurt is on the move!
Eintracht registered their first victory in the Champions League (1–0 in Marseille) with a 3–1 win in Stuttgart. VfB, on the other hand, are stumbling into the Bundesliga basement without a win.
How is that possible? VfB goalkeeper in tunnel in free kick
Stuttgart led game one after the earthquake around boss Alexander Wehrle (47) and sporting director Sven Minslintat (49), who returned ex-stars Sami Khedira (35), Philipp Lahm (38) and Christian Gentner at the general meeting. Announced ( 37) felt left out.
Wehrle on Sky: “Of course I could have done better and I have no problem reflecting critically”
In terms of the game, VfB will have to accept the next blow after a strong 2-2 draw at Bayern. Incredible: Stuttgart scored at least one goal in their 25th home match in a row. In the 1970s only RW Essen (26x) was worse.
Two accidents admitted:
6 min: Anton unnecessarily pays a free kick. Kamada’s shot punched goalkeeper Muller in the middle instead of getting it out. Road Head 0:1!
55 min: Kamada’s free kick is deflected by Anton and lands in the VfB net through Muller’s legs – 0:2!
Small consolation: referee Siebert had previously not punished Mavropanos’ overly tight entry with a dismissal. Tomas (79th (from 17m) only manages 1:2.
Frankfurt’s Jakic (88th / per capita) makes the final decision.
Eintracht got a second away victory.
Captain Rode, who plays for Marseille goalkeeper Lindström (cold), scored his second major goal since May 2011 (then at Dortmund).
Kamada is Frankfurt’s top scorer with four Bundesliga goals (and 6 competitive goals). Only the Japanese have scored twice with a straight free kick this season (previously against Cologne).
