A burst of glacier in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district is showing signs of devastation. Alaknanda and Dhauliganga are in spate. Surroundings are being evacuated. People are being appealed to reach safe areas. Chamoli police has advised those living along the banks of the Alaknanda River to move to a safer place. The administration has started evacuating the houses of the people living on the river banks.
