Corporation councilors and workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) protested on Sunday, sieging the residence of the mayors.
There was a lot of uproar in the East Delhi Municipal Corporation meeting on Monday. There was a fierce clash between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP (BJP) councilors. During this time, shoes and footwear went on between the councilors of both the parties. In the House, you got to see slippers in the hand of Councilor Mohini Jinwal and shoe in the hands of BJP councilor. The mayor has suspended Leader of Opposition Manoj Tyagi and AAP Councilor Mohini Genewal for 15 days.

Both of them are accused of obstructing the proceedings of the House. It is being told that you started a councilor uproar over the alleged scam of Rs 2500 crore in the Northern Municipal Corporation. During this period, AAP councilors had demanded that the mayor should get it investigated by the CBI.
At the same time, BJP councilors accused the Delhi government of not releasing money for the salary of the corporation employees and created a ruckus. The uproar has increased to such an extent that the situation in the house reaches a scuffle. Councilors of both parties came face to face. At the same time, during the meeting of the Northern Municipal Corporation, the Aam Aadmi Party councilors waved leaflets and posters regarding the alleged scam. There was an uproar in the house here.

Earlier, corporators and activists of the Aam Aadmi Party protested on Sunday, besieging the houses of the three mayors of BJP-ruled municipal corporations. The AAP demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the alleged Rs 2,500 crore scam in the Municipal Corporation. AAP activists said that the mayor should explain how the Rs 2,500 crore entry that was owed to the Southern Municipal Corporation from the loss-making Northern Municipal Corporation accounts suddenly disappeared.
