Starting this month, the new Volvo EX30 goes on sale in Mexico and is available in three versions at a very competitive price.
Months ago Volvo shown for the first time EX30 an electric vehicle that continues the brand’s global electrification strategy but with a very interesting approach since it was promised that it would be one of the most accessible new generation electric vehicles on the market.
We knew that this model would arrive in Mexico, but there were still many details missing that were being clarified, such as the number of versions, engines and prices.
First of all, we have to make it clear that the EX30 is positioned as the cheapest electric model in the Swedish portfolio. In addition, its environmentally friendly approach is also reflected in other areas outside of motorization. For example, around 17% of all plastics used are recycled.
Reused materials are also used in the interior, particularly in the seats, dashboard and doors. Some coatings contain second-use denim and linen, as well as a wool composition that contains approximately 70% recycled polyester.
Three versions are sold in our country: Core, Plus and Ultra. They will be available in five colors and two engines with a single electric motor on the rear axle. The first will use a 51 kWh battery, while the second will use a 69 kWh (long range) battery.
Detailed specifications, such as performance or autonomy per version, as well as detailed equipment will be announced later. We can tell you that it promises a range of up to 476 kilometers.
