Texas – Walmart launches its drone delivery service in North Texas.
The company indicated that there are 11 stores that have the service available. Texas is the sixth state to issue it, following those found in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Utah, and Virginia.
How does the service work?
- Participants must live no more than one mile from the store.
- You must place an order through www.droneupdelivery.com between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Over 10,000 items are eligible to be carried on this service.
- There’s no minimum to order and delivery costs $3.99.
- Once the drone reaches the address, the package is delivered via a cable that slowly descends and releases it into the courtyard.
