Watch Now: Hooper Opens $ 60 Million Campus in DeForest

Hooper also provides local fire protection, heating, cooling and plumbing services for both residential and commercial customers.

His work can be found in places such as Epic Systems in Verona, SHINE Medical Technologies in Janesville, Sub-Zero and Promega in Fitchburg, and American Family Insurance in Madison.

He also works for local hospitals and clinics, Madison Gas and Electric, Dairyland Power, We Energies, Cardinal Glass and some of the largest construction firms in the state such as JH Findorff & Son, JP Cullen & Sons, Kraemer Brothers and Ideal Builders.

A Hooper welder works on a component at the company’s new manufacturing facility in DeForest. It includes places to work with pipes, stainless steel, sheet metal, custom metal projects, and plumbing fixtures.

Climate control

The new manufacturing facility, considered one of the most advanced in the country, means that many projects can be built indoors rather than on a construction site, which can be hampered by sudden temperature swings depending on the season.

A production facility with a controlled climate and ventilation systems in separate workplaces ensures more efficient, high-quality and safe work. Plus, employees no longer need to dig material out of a pile of snow in winter or worry about stealing from work sites.

Jib cranes scattered throughout the manufacturing facility also reduce injuries and speed up production on projects involving heavy parts.

“We don’t have to mess with things anymore,” said Sean Kuzdas, the pipe company’s coordinator. “It’s huge. Everything is linear. Raw materials at one end (of the building), finished goods at the other end.”
