We are in a new European final!

The Spanish team beat France (11-1) in the semifinals and will play in the seventh European Championship tomorrow against Portugal

The Spanish women’s roller hockey team has qualified for the new European finals. Spain beat France 11-1 in a truly attacking display and tomorrow will fight to win a seventh consecutive title, the eighth in its record. The victory means another historic record for the national team for Spanish sport, becoming the first team in any national team sport to win eight consecutive Europeans.

It was a very different start to the game in the group stage where Spain’s defeat began because in the 10th minute of the game, the national team already dominated with two goals with goals from Sara Roces, the eighth of European Championship for Asturian, and Anna Casarramona. In the 18th minute, France took advantage of their first chance of the game to reduce the gap after a rebound but in the next game, Aimee Blackman scored her first official goal for the Spanish team. The players led by Ricard Muñoz continued to press and Sara Roces, again, and Marta Piquero, made it 5-1 at half-time.
