Iberdrola has signed an agreement with Windar Renewables to build 95 transition pieces for the East Anglia Three offshore wind farm in United Kingdom waters. Manufacturing the 95 pieces would require more than 2,000,000 man hours of work over 23 months, creating 400 jobs. Production will start next June and each of these elements will have maximum dimensions of 20 meters in height, 8 meters in diameter and 300 tonnes of weight.
East Anglia Three, which will be located off the Norfolk coast and will have a capacity of 1,400 megawatts (MW), enough to supply 1.3 million homes with clean energy when commissioned in 2026.
East Anglia Three will form part of the East Anglia complex, which currently has an installed capacity of 714 MW, with which it is possible to supply 630,000 British homes, and for which Winder had previously built 42 jackets and 126 pin piles.
