Due to low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, there is a warning of heavy rain in many states of the country from next to days.
The meteorological department said that light, moderate to heavy rains are expected in the western Himalayan region and adjoining plains in the next 4-5 days. Also, heavy rains are expected in northeastern India in the next two hours. It is likely to increase till September 1 with heavy rainfall in isolated places in many parts of north-east India.

There is a possibility of rain due to the formation of a low pressure area in western Vidarbha in Maharashtra. Moderate to heavy rains are forecast in Mumbai and surrounding areas in the next two hours.
In addition, the IMD has forecast heavy rains in many states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa and Maharashtra. According to the IMD, heavy rains are likely in western Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, central Maharashtra and many parts of Konkan and Goa in the next three days from today. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in many parts of Gujarat till September 2.
