The absence of President Gabriel Boric, who danced the cueca, took a backseat to the terrible tap dancing performed by Minister Camila Vallejo at the inauguration of the Parque O’Higgins inns.

The record quickly spread online and was praised by its followers. “I would have to live two lives to have this Grace Dance cueca. How jealous and admirable it makes me,” one X user wrote.

So Vallejo and other ministers stood up for La Moneda after President Boric decided to excuse himself from dancing the first cueca this year, vowing that he had a “small injury.”
