Every year, the National Civil Service Commission (CNSC) publishes various competitions for interested Colombians to apply for qualified positions in administrative careers in public sector institutions.
To apply for the tenders offered, citizens must register their details in the Support System for Equality, Merit and Opportunity – SIMO, upload their CV, academic education, professional experience and various documents such as certifications if required for the application.
How do I register and apply for calls with SIMO?
Since 2016, the CNSC has made available the SIMO application, a website that allows Colombians interested in participating in a merit-based competition to register their CV and view all current calls for proposals. Again, filter by education level, department or city, company, salary range, among other things.
To register on the digital platform, follow these steps:
- Enter SIMO in your preferred browser or click here.
- Register your details to receive a username and password.
- Once logged in, go to the left panel and click on “Public Career Employment Offer – OPEC”.
- Select the “Call” drop-down list and there you will find the current processes available from the CNSC.
- If you want to filter, search for the job of your choice in the “Keyword” bar.
For a more specific search, complete all salary range, grade, city, and department fields.
Once you have selected the call for which you would like to apply, complete the registration process by paying the entry fees. Remember that if you do not follow this step, you will not be registered correctly.
Current calls
Interested Colombians can apply for each of the seven superintendents’ offers until September 26th.
The process includes 3,574 vacancies between technical, medical and professional levels. Likewise, 575 of them require no experience. To apply, you must do so via SIMO.
For those who registered for the 2023 Teaching Competition, the CNSC recently released the list of eligible individuals. Click here to learn how to view the results.
List of upcoming CNSC offerings
According to information published on the website of the “Geard Group”, a company dedicated to preparing Colombians for the CNSC merit competitions, the next competitions are: “Territorial 2023 – 2”, “Entities of the National Order 2023 “, “Territorial”. Comptroller,” “District 6,” among others.
However, these are not yet published because, as they explain, they are in the “planning phase” and they recommend being aware of the CNSC website and social networks.
What do they evaluate in the competitions?
The National Civil Service Commission (CNSC) reports that once the applicant applies for a position, a Minimum Requirements Review (VRM) begins within the established deadlines, which verifies whether the applicant matches the profile of the vacancy.
If everything is in order, approved applicants will be invited to take a series of tests depending on the type of job they have applied for: written, physical, interview, performance and personality.
In addition, for those who registered for the DIAN 2022 competition, the written tests will take place on September 17 and you can view your citations on the SIMO website.
