Recently, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, Secretary of Welfare, reported a new registration period for the pension for the elderly, in this case for people aged 65 or older, between November 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024. This also applies to laggards.

It should be noted that generally, the Welfare Secretariat registers new beneficiaries every two months. In other words, one month the step is taken, and the next month the new seniors are registered according to their birth month. However, this December, the registration of people aged 65 in the first half of 2024 was brought forward.

The official shared the following message on his social networks:

“If you turn 65 or older between November 4, 2023, and June 30, 2024, register for senior pension from December 4 to 23.”
