USA.- Recently a strange question started flooding social networks causing intrigue among users.
This question is: What will happen to cell phones, television and radio on October 4? The answer to this question occurs in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) available only in the United States.
It will be next October 4 when the FEMA Conduct a nationwide drill, usually through cell phones, television and radio.
According to FEMA the said drill will consist of sending an alert to the population with the aim of “ensuring that the systems continue to be an effective means of warning the public about emergencies, especially those that exist throughout the country.”
In the United States, this alert system works when there are disasters or natural disasters, for example, earthquakes, hurricanes and floods. These alerts are sent to the population in conjunction with Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The importance of this drill is above, because thanks to it, FEMA will be able to determine that its systems are ready to act during any possible event, something similar to what will happen in Mexico during training that includes the use of seismic alert..
The drill is scheduled for next Wednesday October 4 at 2:20 pm (Eastern Time). During the event, two types of alerts will be issued: Wireless Emergency Alerts, which will be sent to cell phones, and Emergency Alerts, which will be transmitted through radio and television. The drill is estimated to last 30 minutes.
In order not to panic the population, upon receiving your alert, it will carry a message like the following: “This is a test of the National Emergency Alert System. “No action is required.”
