GOLDSBORO. – The Wings Over Wayne Air Show, the world’s largest aircraft show, is almost ready to welcome North Carolinians to Goldsboro.
A display of the US Navy’s Blue Angels and an F-22 Raptor, among others, will be displayed May 20-21 at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
To do this, here we present a series of recommendations if you are planning to launch yourself to enjoy the air show.
Don’t let this happen to you
The aircraft show will be held at an air base which can be entered without any cost, i.e. it will be completely free.
Therefore, you will not need any form of identification (ID) to enter for admission. However, in case of purchase of alcoholic beverages, it will be necessary to prove the age of majority at the time of purchase.
In respect of equal access, a parking fee will not be charged at the event, but organizers are asked to consider that at least 100,000 attendees are expected to attend, so arrival times must be taken into account to access the space. Needed
You will not be able to enter the event if attendees bring any items from the following list:
- drone or any other remote controlled device
- firearm, knife or any other object that can be used to cause harm
- Large umbrellas, golf type and tents.
- backpacks and oversized bags
- scanners
- Pets (service animals are allowed)
- Coolers and drinks, in addition to water bottles, will be filtered water dispensers on site.
- glass containers.
- Bicycle, skate, skateboard, scooter or any of these devices.
- Flags, signs, balloons.
- Megaphone or any other device for producing noise.
Upon entry, security elements will check bags, diaper bags and cases of electronic devices for security reasons.
Since the event will generate loud noise from planes, organizers suggest bringing ear protection, sunscreen, a bottle of water and something to sit on, such as a folding chair.
It will also be possible to participate in the event with a stroller, in addition to the fact that there will be access and special areas for people with disabilities.
Gates to the event will open at 8:00 a.m. both days, with attractions starting at 10:00 a.m., so do your due diligence.
