We are talking about the possibility that we now have administrators to admit or reject user entry. Yes, the same thing that happened in the Communities, but strangely in the groups.
In fact, the control increases somewhat, since it is possible to establish access control that was not there before, and therefore the only possibility that was so that no one could enter, was to change the link of the invitation, which was the access. balls (or, what they had entered, to eliminate someone who had entered, but was already inside). It is surprising that this role has now arrived and has not been reduced before. But hey, it happened that they took a step from WhatsApp now.
So you can activate a new function in WhatsApp
At the moment, the option you need to activate is a bit hidden, so you have to go around a bit through the configuration options of the group, of which you must be an administrator. Otherwise, you will not be able to activate access control (specifically called Approve New Participants). These are the steps you have to use the tool we are talking about;
- Enter WhatsApp and, now, click on the group of which you are the Administrator and where you want to move control access.
- The next thing you have to do is click on the name of the group and you will enter a section where you will see a large number of options in the middle area. You ignore it, because you use the icon with three dots on the top right of the screen.
- Here you have to select Group Settings and you will see a new screen in which the last option is to test new members. We are talking about a job that is disabled by failure. Click on it and in the window that appears select Activated and use OK.
- That is, you are done and now each person you want will have to enter, so that one of the administrators accepts their request (they can reject it of course).
He came for everyone
You should know this. From WhatsApp they started to move the ability to use this new option in groups on both iOS and Android operating systems, whether they have a trial or stable version. Of course, it is a gradual deployment, so that it can appear in a few days. But, without a doubt, you’ll have it fully functional in no time.
