WhatsApp Messenger recently launched a new function for “Info.” your profile will automatically disappear after a few hours or days have passed since it was published, this is with the aim of improving the interaction between users and strengthening the privacy of your personal data.

This is how you can activate the timer for WhatsApp Information.

  • First, download the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS users, how? pre-install TestFlight on the App Store.
  • Then, open this link to apply for a place in the WhatsApp beta program.
  • You will be referred back to TestFlight.
  • Click “Accept” to get the position and the WhatsApp beta will start installing on your phone.
  • Open the application (it’s the same, but converted to beta).
  • Click on the tab that says “You” or “Tú” in Spanish (it’s in the lower right corner of the main interface).
  • Now, below your profile picture, the option “Add status” will appear, tap on it.
  • Put down a thought, idea or activity that you did.
  • Finally, press the section with the clock icon (it’s 24 hours by default) choose what you want.

This is how you can add your avatar as a WhatsApp profile picture

  • Create your own avatar.
  • You do this through “Settings” > “Avatar”.
  • Go back to “Settings” and click on your profile picture icon.
  • Press the camera located below it.
  • Three options will be displayed: “Camera”, “Gallery” and “Avatar”, tap the last one.
  • Choose any of the 9 styles that WhatsApp offers you.
  • Also choose a background.
  • Finally, press the green check in the upper right corner.
