On the official website of WhatsApp, the developers have given a warning for all users, Android and iPhone. So the special media reported this on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
According to that, people don’t tolerate users changing platform versions; that is, private applications that were created by third parties and not by Meta.
“These plans put your privacy and security at risk. If you use them, there is no guarantee that your emails or data, such as your location or shared file, will be private and secure. Your account may be permanently suspended. “Temporary or permanent,” the American Society says in his page.
These are prohibited applications
Although Meta does not name them directly, he talks about WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp, Aero WhatsApp, Gold WhatsApp, Tu WhatsApp, among other similar pirated apps.
These have become very popular in social networks because they have quite controversial features that the original version does not have. For example, they have the option to receive a notification when a friend is online, to know what are the messages that have been deleted.
Similarly, although these applications may not be attractive, they are dangerous because they can carry malware when they are downloaded from unknown sites.
What to do with private WhatsApp apps?
According to Meta, the suspension of using WhatsApp Plus or any other method, the first time, will last 24 hours. During that time you will not be able to have conversations with your friends.
After the ban, you will remove the pirated app again and start using the official one, because if you don’t, the ban will continue.
Recently, a fraud application was discovered in Spain and Argentina, where the warning message started.
