VV Puram police on Friday (February 5, 2021) in the horrific murder of 61-year-old landlady in Bengaluru, Karnataka Three people arrested did.
According to reports, The victim has been identified as Rajeshwari. Rajeshwari, a resident of Koramangala, went to Parvatipura on Thursday (February 4, 2021) at 10:30 am to collect rent from tenants Alim Pasha (26) and her brother Jilan (20). Pasha had not paid the rent since March last year. Whenever Rajeshwari asked for money, he used to say that his catering business had not started yet due to the lockdown.
The landlady had earlier waived her 3-month rent and asked her to pay the remaining 35,000. On the day of the incident, Rajeshwari went to Pasha and asked her to vacate the house if she did not pay. Then Pasha brought a rod and hit his head and neck. Due to this injury, Rajeshwari fainted immediately and then died on the spot. His body turned cold and pale. When Pasha told his uncle Ibrahim and grandmother Ashrafunnisa about his plan to surrender to the police, the two advised against it.
Ibrahim, together with Alim Pasha, Jillan and Ashrafunnisa, wrapped the body in polythene and bedsheets. After this, put it on the passenger seat of Jillon’s auto covered with tarpaulin. Ibrahim and Jillan took the corpse from auto to Kumbhalgodu. During this, Pasha followed the auto from his bike. Pasha sees a brook near Marigold International School. The three threw the corpse into the drain and put petrol and set it on fire. On his way to the hideout, he bought petrol on the way.
The victim’s son filed a police complaint
After destroying the evidence of the crime, the accused returned home, took a bath and cleaned the blood stains. The case came to light when the victim’s son Dr. Deepak MR filed a police complaint.
When Rajeshwari did not return home and her phone rang, she contacted relatives and family members to find out about her mother. The victim had told her son that she was going to take rent from Pasha. Deepak went to Pasha’s house around 11 pm on Thursday night and inquired about his mother. Pasha claimed that Rajeshwari left her house after recovering the rent from her.
The next morning, Deepak again went to the accused’s house with his wife Mamta and insisted that he wanted to check the rooms. However, Pasha claimed that one of the rooms has been ‘sprayed’ so cannot go inside now. Upon questioning other tenants, it was found that he had seen Pasha and his family members carrying a bundle covered with tarpaulin in an auto-rickshaw.
Deepak was alert to other tenants and immediately filed a missing report with the VV Puram police. The police started the investigation, analyzed Rajeshwari’s call records and found that her phone was locked in MV lane of Parvatipura. Upon interrogating the tenants and verifying the CCTV footage, the police detained Pasha, Jillan and Ashrafunnisa.
After successfully resolving the case within 24 hours, the police informed, “We caught Alim Pasha, Jillan and Ashrafunnisa, who confessed to the crime. We are yet to arrest Ibrahim. A case of murder and destruction of evidence has been registered against him.
