When does it start and how is the first day of the group stage played?

The 2023-24 Champions League begins! The most important club tournament in European football begins this week, with champions Manchester City looking to defend their title against favorite clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

The competition begins with 16 games between Tuesday 19th September and Wednesday 20th September.

City will have their presentation on Tuesday against Red Star Belgrade, as will Barcelona against Royal Antwerp, Lazio against Atlético, Milan against Newcastle and PSG against Borussia Dortmund.

This edition of the Champions League is also eagerly awaited in Honduras, as a fellow countryman will be competing there. Striker Luis Palma, Celtic’s reinforcement, could get his first taste of the competition when they visit Feyenoord on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Real Madrid will face Unión Berlin and Arsenal will face PSV. Real Sociedad hosts Inter while Bayern Munich will face Manchester United.
