Why is Tesla aggressively increasing production?

Tesla, why are you aggressively increasing production? Electric car manufacturer Tesla is increasing production in its quest to reach 20 million cars by 2030.

the production of tesserae increases.

Tesla wants to dominate the auto industry in the coming years and to see rivals approach, the company led by Elon Musk has been ramping up production in recent months.

The Austin, Texas-based automaker has made clear the price of rivals in China and the United States, two of the world’s largest markets.

Tesla has lowered the prices of all its models, from the popular 3 and Model Y, to the most luxurious Model X and Model S.

In order not to fall behind completely, Tesla’s competitors have responded by lowering the prices of their cars, sometimes at the risk of undermining profit margins.

Musk’s automaker company produced 1.37 million vehicles last year and plans to make 1.8 million this year.

To achieve this ambitious goal, Tesla has opened at least one factory on three continents, where the majority of car sales are contracted. In North America, factories in Fremont, California and Austin, Texas. In Asia, a factory in Shanghai, China and in Europe, a factory near Berlin in Germany. The company announced on March 1 that it was opening a fifth factory in Mexico.

While new Tesla factories are being built in Mexico, the German production plant has just taken an important step. You just multiplied your weekly production.

“Giga Berlin builds to 5,000 per week, first in 1 year after delivering vehicles to customers,” the automaker announced on March 25.

This is an important step for this plant which mainly serves the European market. It has a production capacity of 25,000 vehicles a year, according to Tesla. On February 27, Berlin-based automaker Giga announced that it was now producing four thousand vehicles per week.

1,000 additional vehicles produced per week in less than a month is quite a feat, especially since Giga Berlin is only open five days a week. This is an increase of 25% in one month.

In Berlin, the factory that started operations on March 22, 2022, Tesla produces only the Model Y SUV.

Shanghai, which has a production capacity of 750,000 vehicles a year, makes the Model Y and the Model 3, according to its website.

In Austin, which has an annual production capacity of 250,000 vehicles, Tesla is building the Model Y and soon the Cybertruck, its first pickup truck. Fremont produces all Tesla car models with an annual production capacity of 650,000 vehicles.
