No person can choose to be male or female at birth. To be born and to exist in the midst of a certain society has determined not only human life, but also the course of history. The cultural status of women throughout history, which has been known and accepted as true, must not forget that it was written by men, that nations, nations, nations are generally organized by men; with his successes and mistakes, vices and virtues. For this reason, the narratives that have come down to us and continue to be published in today’s media have a greater number of men compared to the number of women throughout historical events.
This book is not about telling the proper way in too many times of worship that women have traveled. Nor is the book a figure of feminism prevalent in the age in which we live; on the 21st The feminism slogan is subordinated to certain political ideas, and therefore its supporters are not always neutral in the universal defense of women. The book is about making women visible in culture and society. This society continues to stop women even in these fields of culture. No wonder, since we came from the patriarchal societies of classical Greece and its Western philosophies. But all societies cannot exist without women. Without that natural unity, man – woman, nothing can be together. Moreover, if in that way it was abolished at the same time as the woman, why could he not have access to the culture and preparation which from ancient times, for example, the school of Plato, if the man agreed.
Culture is like agriculture, you have to know it and increase its efficiency in order to grow and be able to acquire the fruits of the earth with the knowledge of research and technology. Thus, women were banned from those fields and were considered inferior for millennia and centuries. It is a ballast which prevents a man from progressing on an equal footing with his life.
Culture is now, and yesterday, a viable example of our sayings in various anthologies or books that constitute the selection of authors for literary works, the number of authors continues to be mostly male. It is also true in academic institutions, for example, the Royal Academy of the Spanish language is the kingdom of men: there are now 46 full academics who are men and 8 women.
It is a risk to fly, and to stop being invisible in our culture, to show that there were women who believed in themselves to be strong, and it was not at all easy to be in those places. Through the pages of this book 42 writers who show the trajectory of certain women, there are few, but it is the principle of male exclusivity in culture, even in the various well-known religions of the universal society of all times. And of course in politics, where women hold few positions among world leaders.
Women in the culture of a country in which women do not feel self-pity, in spite of so much opposition, that they leave them free to choose and develop sin. It is not necessary to discuss the past, but to plan for the present and the future. In this journey, understanding, so necessary for coexistence, education and culture, are bridges to cross the turbulent river of life. Now the number of university students is higher than that of women, even in the schools of the different primary and secondary cycles, but the number falls when yesterday’s hierarchies continue.
In the digital network there are women poets, writers, journalists, painters, scientists… showing their daily creation and I wonder in addition to the publication of more than 80,000 books per year where many names of women and more than two million copies of women are hardly sold on the portal of critical criticism and magazine. As also in the prizes, as much as in the literary scenes of painting, architecture, sculpture and a long list of professions, where only the names of women are covered by shadows.
In this daily journey of avoiding pains and joys, triumphs and failures, we accompany each other, and in this process of learning, it is not easy, but I prefer to walk with men and women against groups of individual women.
I know the problems involved, but I don’t envision a divided society despite the long history of segregation to which women have been subjected. It is the first edition of the book, since it belongs to the Association of Writers of Castilla-La Mancha, where it was written for the first time and only about women, although the names of many of them have to be removed. of obscurity, I would rather in these pages signed men and women, also the names of writers and other arts and societies of men.
Thank you, thank you, for what was given to me when writing this prologue, in which I chose to omit the names of the women who are in the book, because their trajectories and events that inspired these pages deserve to be. They read with great authority and interest the facts and achievements. I hope that he has realized the desire, that he has promoted me to the Writers’ Association of Castile.
