Money in the Bank is WWE’s final premium live event before SummerSlam, the build-up to the biggest party of the summer officially begins this Saturday night and many stars may be changing their attitude.
Ties are made to break down in WWE, friends can turn foes in a week, many Superstars live their lives sitting on their shoulders, and Money in the Bank will be no different.
The following list looks at just five betrayals that took place at Money in the Bank this weekend.
#5. The Usos undisputedly lost the WWE Tag Team Championship
The Usos will take on Street Profit this weekend at Money in the Bank, but it has been made clear that Roman Reigns will not be a part of the show. Without Reigns and Paul Heyman, both would be forced to move on their own and Street Profits could be too high for them.
As brothers, Jimmy and Jay have a unique chemistry, but there’s a chance one of them could cost the other and it only takes three seconds to pin it down and lose his title. How long will the two brothers stay on the same page if they lose the championship this weekend?
#4. Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan break up
Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan could form a strong tag team if none of the women succeed this weekend. The two women were able to quality together for the Money in the Bank ladder match in a tag team match against Dawdrop and Nikki Ashe, but noted on Raw that it would still be every woman for herself.
Morgan pinned Bliss on RAW this week and got all the momentum going for Money in the Bank, but it will be interesting to see if she manages to equalize.
If Morgan is about to win the match and Bliss manages to win from her clutches and instead is able to win over herself, it could turn into an interesting story between two women who will go from friends to foes. a quick move.
#3. Montez Ford turns his back on Angelo Dawkins
The Street Profits know to win the championship, but they have had a long barren spell over the past few months and it’s time for both of them to shake things up. If WWE isn’t going to make him a heel, it might be time for him to move in his direction as a singles star.
This weekend could be seen as their last push towards the title and if they are unable to beat The Ones again, the disappointment could be much greater for Montez Ford, who arguably compares to the tag team division in WWE. I deserve to be pushed a lot.
#2. MVP accidentally pays the price of Omos the Money in the Bank contract
Omos could be seen as one of the favorites in the Money in the Bank ladder match, but although the field is still not full for the match, it is difficult to see who will come out on top. The Nigerian Giant has been a dominant force and with the MVP by his side, he has a huge advantage over the other men in the match.
MVPs have hindered their clients more than they helped them on several occasions in the past, and that may just be the case this weekend. If MVP is injured while still attending the match and this distracts Omos, he may inadvertently pay the price of the contract, which may be his reasoning for not being at ringside.
#1. Zelina Vega returns and Carmella costs the championship
With Zelina Vega and Carmella being former women’s tag team champions, the two have had a volatile alliance lately and it is unclear whether they are currently on the same page. Vega recently underwent a procedure that caused her to be absent from WWE TV, with Carmella making a comeback and was able to win a chance to fight Bianca Belair.
Vega could return as a heel and Carmella missed out on her chance to become the Raw Women’s Champion for the first time, which would inevitably lead to a feud between the two women.
